Summer is my time of year! I have time to relax, read a book, camp, go to the beach, and most importantly, stay home for a nice long stretch with my little man! However, I have to say that Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year! This year, we were able to start teaching Nicholas what it is really all about, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! When you ask him whose birthday is on Christmas, he will reply proudly, "Jesus" (although his version of Jesus sounds a bit off)! Rob and I were so excited to share such a special day with our son! He woke up late (he always chooses to sleep in on the days we want him up early and seems to be up at the crack of dawn on those rare days we can actually all sleep in) and we couldn't wait to get him downstairs! Here are a few pictures that help tell the story of our busy, yet perfect Christmas day!
| Still sleepy eyed walking down the stairs! |
| Whoa! Look at all the presents! |
| Lots to open still, but this tractor book was a hit! |
| Daddy spent hours putting this together...but seeing him light up when he saw it and played with it for the first time made it all worth it! |
| Our favorite gift...homemade ornaments from Nicholas! |
| Traditional Picture with PJ's in front of the tree (YES...Rob is wearing a one piece footy PJ set!) |
| Reading with Bumpa! |
| Standing on his presents! |
| He would say "WHOA" when opening gifts. Can you tell by his expression how much he LOVED his new Jordan's from Uncle Travis! |
| Uncle Brandon spoiled Nicholas with his very own TRACTOR! We have to pry him off! |
| My favorite picture of the year! 48 people in all! (missing 2 special people, Ryan and his soon to be wife Winny). We are one VERY blessed family and even though it took ME being A BIT bossy, I think everyone will agree this is a picture we will always treasure! |
| Most challenging picture of the year...getting all 16 great-grand children to look at the camera, not fall off the couch and not eat their footballs! It shows just how much fun we all have though! |
| Full of energy after a VERY long but exciting day! |
| The day after...helping use put all the new toys together and playing in boxes!!! |
Great photos! Nicholas is so cute! And seeing your brothers all grown up is still crazy to me!
